German AI Startup Parloa Secures $350 Million in Latest Funding Round

German startup Parloa announced on Thursday that it has raised $350 million in a late-stage funding round, which tripled the company's valuation to $3 billion in less than a year.

The Series D round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from existing investors including EQT Ventures, Altimeter Capital, and Durable Capital Partners.

This brings Parloa's total fundraising to over $560 million. In July 2025, the company completed a $120 million Series C round that valued it at $1 billion.

Founded eight years ago, Parloa develops an AI platform designed to automate customer service for large enterprises with minimal coding. The platform handles tasks such as tracking packages and processing returns.

Parloa's customers include Microsoft, Accenture, KPMG, and Booking.com. The company reported that its annual recurring revenue has exceeded $50 million.

"In 2025, everyone finally realized ... it (AI for customer service) is actually working, like this is a case that has proven to be a positive return on investment case," said co-founder and CEO Malte Kosub in an interview.

Businesses seeking to reduce costs and manage increasing customer inquiries have been adopting AI-powered voice agents for customer service, fueling demand and investor interest in startups like Parloa.

However, the implementation of such technology has faced challenges. Swedish buy-now, pay-later firm Klarna stated last year that it may have overextended its use of AI, leading to thousands of job cuts, discontinued vendor relationships, and a shift toward AI for marketing campaigns.

Parloa intends to use the new funding to expand its operations in Europe and the United States. Plans include opening new offices in San Francisco and Madrid, adding to its existing locations in Berlin and New York.

The company also aims to increase its workforce from 380 to 600 employees by the end of 2026, with hiring efforts focused on both developers and sales personnel.
