During a recent broadcast, a caller inquired about Texas Pacific Land Corporation, which trades under the ticker TPL on the New York Stock Exchange. Jim Cramer addressed the query directly.
"Well, you know, look, we recommended the stock a couple years ago," Cramer stated. "We had a good run. We're not inclined to like the oil stocks this year. We just think that the president wants oil down, and this president seems to get a lot of what he does want. I'm not going to get in the way of him and his $50 price target for oil."
The company manages extensive land holdings and oil royalty interests. It also offers water services. Revenue comes from land leases, easements, and material sales, alongside its perpetual oil and gas royalties.
The question was posed on the August 26, 2025 episode. Cramer elaborated further in his response.
"See, I'm not positive on oil right now," he said. "That was one of our favorites last year. I'm going to say, you know what, we're just not going to go there. It's just not right to own the oil and gas right now. They're just on the wrong side of the trade."
