NEXT Insurance Rebrands as ERGO NEXT Following Acquisition

NEXT Insurance has changed its name to ERGO NEXT Insurance, marking the formal integration with ERGO Group.

ERGO Group, a subsidiary of Munich Re, completed the acquisition of the US-based property and casualty insurer in July 2025. The acquisition process started in March 2025 when ERGO Group signed an agreement to purchase NEXT Insurance for $2.6 billion.

Founded in 2016, NEXT Insurance provides digital insurance solutions for small business owners across the United States.

ERGO NEXT now combines technological operations with the financial backing of ERGO and Munich Re. The organization will maintain its digital-first approach to offering insurance coverage and services for small businesses nationwide.

ERGO NEXT marketing vice president Joon-Soo Kim stated, "By visually aligning our brands, we are ensuring our identity reflects both the strong foundation of ERGO and Munich Re and the digital-first experience that NEXT brings to small commercial insurance."

The new brand identity is currently displayed on ERGO NEXT's official website, social media platforms, and communications. A wider rollout of the updated branding is scheduled over the next few months.

ERGO NEXT chief product officer Effi Fuks-Leichtag said, "ERGO NEXT has reached a pivotal point in its evolution. With ERGO's backing, we are focused on accelerating how we build and scale our platform so agents and small businesses can move faster, plan further ahead and grow on a foundation designed for the long term."
