Silvercorp Metals Hits Record High on Strong Preliminary Earnings

Silvercorp Metals Inc. reached a new all-time high in trading on Friday. The stock closed at $11.31, marking a gain of 10.88 percent for the day. This followed six consecutive sessions of increases.

Preliminary financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 were released by the company. Silvercorp stated that quarterly revenues rose to $126.1 million. This represents a 51 percent increase from the $83.6 million reported for the same period last year.

The company attributed the revenue growth to higher silver prices during the quarter. These prices offset a reduction in production volume. Silver production totaled 1.9 million ounces, down from 1.946 million ounces a year earlier.

Production of silver equivalent ounces decreased by 5 percent to 2 million ounces. Lead production was also lower, finishing at 16.4 million pounds compared to 17.09 million pounds year-on-year.

Zinc production showed an increase. Operations yielded 7 million pounds of zinc, which is 5 percent higher than the 6.67 million pounds produced in the comparable prior period.

Official, audited results are scheduled for release after the market closes on February 9. The stock's performance on Friday made it one of the top performers for the day.
