Company insiders verified social media posts stating TQL miscalculated bonus sizes for certain brokers and is now demanding repayment of the overpayment.
The payroll system reportedly paid a 25% commission instead of the intended 20%, according to these posts and sources close to TQL. Affected employees received emails notifying them they must return the difference if the error exceeded $1,000.
Additional social media posts, corroborated by FreightWaves, indicate the accounts involved were transferred from departed colleagues. Before the handover, the commission was 25%, but it should have been adjusted to 20% after the transfer.
